i moved a folder asset with pages under it… after moving, the web path of he folder asset and its children were not change at all…
before moving folder asset:
www.site.com/parent/folder/
after moving the folder asset (moved it under site directly):
www.site.com/parent/folder/
where its not supposed to be under the parent directory… cos its already moved to the upper directory (under the site).
so the new path should be: www.site.com/folder/
If you interrupt the move HIPO before it is finished, it will not have changed the URLs for your (i.e., it won't have completed the update lookups HIPO). Check your HIPO Herder to see if there is a stuck HIPO there you can resume.
Otherwise, if you just Lock and then Commit the Web Paths screen of the Folder asset, Matrix should fire an Update Lookups HIPO and fix all your URLs for you.

i tried that… it loads to hipo a bit then after 12% it stops loading and generated some errors … (invalid task id errors and remapping warnings)
If you are getting remapping warnings, it means that there is another asset that already has the path of the folder you're trying to move. You will need to change the web path of the moved folder so that Matrix can create unique URLs for all the assets.
i caused the hipo to hangup....
and gives us this error..
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1048576 bytes) in /home/websites/abp3161/core/hipo/jobs/hipo_job_clear_cache.inc on line 327

You will need to increase the memory limit for your HIPO Herder. If you are using the Squiz Server, you may need to contact Squiz Support for assistance. Otherwise, you can change the WEB memory limit on the system configuration screen.
