What can I show in a menu?

Is it possible in a Matrix menu to:

  1. Show type 2 links


  2. Specify what type of assets to display

For 1., no. TYPE_2 links are always hidden as this is the primary function of the TYPE_2 link.
For 2., this can only be done in version 3.18.3+

No -- the entire concept behind TYPE_1 and TYPE_2 links is to show/hide them from the automatically generated navigation, i.e. menus.

I believe this was added to either the development version or 3.18, but I no longer have CVS access (*sob*), so I can't check this.
