Workflow -approving work

Hi

We are testing user registeration and the users event submission applications. We have set up work flow schemas and there is a trigger in place that says that at least one person must approve the event. I am part of the approvers list (3 approvers) , however, when I come to approve the event to go live, I only have the option to reject, not approve. The other 2 approvers can see approve/reject.

I've checked through the triggers, permissions, users folders etc, there doesn't seem to be any anomolies there.

Can you shed some light on why I don't have the ability to approve?

Many thanks

Sam

If you created the asset yourself I don't believe you will be able to approve it, it must be done by another approver.

I haven't created the asset and I am part of the group of approvers. The other members of the group have ability to approve and reject. I can only reject

Does the workflow screen for the asset show that nobody has approved the asset, or does it show you have already approved it?

You should only get the reject only option if you have admin access and have already approved or are not yet able to approve.

Nobody has approved the asset, and the status has pending approval. I have system admin access

thanks

Then the system doesn't think you are in the current workflow step. You get the reject option because you are a system admin and can always reject changes.

Without looking at the system, I can't tell you if there is a bug in there or if something is configured incorrectly. I can tell you that we don't have any recent bugs for approval errors and we have no failing tests for workflow approval, so I'm not aware of any issues at the moment. If you have a problem, it must be a new one.

If you see nothing wrong and you are a Squiz client, contact support. If you are not a client, post a bug report and try to put as much info about the configuration or your workflow schema and user groups as you can. Then we will try replicating the problem.

Thanks for your help. I can't see a problem so as I'm a client I shall raise a ticket with support.
