Been going through our workflow process to develop manual for staff.
There are two occasions when two emails are sent one for the page and one for the Content Div.
Workflow Approval Required email when an escalation occurs, and
Safe Edit Cancelled (from both simple edit and backend admin).
Is there a way to fix this or is it a bug?
Because none of the other workflow step sends two emails are sent one for the page and one for the Content Div.
The page and the content DIV are considered two different assets and a message is always generated for each one throughout workflow. Maybe at other times you are getting two messages in one or maybe you are suffering from a notification bug that I think has been fixed recently.
We know these two emails are confusing and we've made changes to this process in 3.22 (will be released 4th May) so that the DIV does not generate emails if it is only linked under one page. If it is linked under more than one, it may have two different sets of workflows and admins, so they are notified that part of the page is undergoing workflow.
Greg, thanks for that. The issue with the escalation email is the same page only generates one email (no content div emails) for any other part of the workflow process (ie normal approval). So why does it happen with escalation?
Maybe because it always runs on the command line as a cron job. I don't really know without looking into it.
