Hey all Ijust have a quick question with the workflow engine in matrix.
Say for our example, I was a publisher who had permissions to add to the site and then trigger the submit to workflow. But then I was also part of the approvers group to send content live… would I be able to approve my OWN content to go live, or would matrix prevent me from doing so?
Or is there a way to prevent this from happening, so the person who created the document/submitted to workflow cannot approve his/her own work…

Matrix would allow you do this. In fact, it would automatically calculate your ability to do this and give you a “Approve and Make Live” option.

Ok so nothing is in place that would prevent me from approving my own content if I was part of both groups? what we would like to be able to do if possible is to prevent a single person, in a workflow process approving their own changes…
So if I published the page and submitted to workflow, someone ELSE in the approvers group would need to send live, but it could not be me…
would this be possible through workflow conditions or triggers etc? or would this be a feature request?

You could set the group to require at least 2 approvers – that way, you cannot complete the workflow yourself.
Otherwise, you’d have to submit a feature request so that the original requester is not eligible to approve their own submission.
