Wysiwyg CSS file

I noticed that the CSS classes that are presented in the dropdown of the Wysiwyg editor are obtained through an "Associated File" asset for the design that has been applied.

However, applying one of the classes from the dropdown to an item doesnt seem to change the style of that item in the wysiwyg editor. eg applying the "warning" class to a piece of text doesnt seem to make the text go red, even though that is how it is defined in the CSS file.

Can anyone help?

Does the text show up as red once the changes are committed and the page is previewed?

Thanks for the quick reply,

Yes, it is showing up on preview.

The point is that it is not showing up in the Wysiwyg editor.

Try changing your WYSIWYG Style setting to use IFrames (log in as root, go to System Configuration, then in the dropdown select Global Preferences).

That seems to have fixed it. Thanks.

Can you let me know what might have busted by changing that setting.

Nothing should have… it's just a different way for the WYSIWYG to use for its internal editing pane.
