I have created my first asset builder page and things seemed to be going well. Everything is working with the exception of I can not get the WYSIWYG editor to appear on the logged in page so users can add content.
On the page I have %create_form%
We have other pages similar across the site that are asset buildeer pages and this is all they have on them and the WYSIWYG appears.
What am I missing?
Also, is it possible to add the metadata field to this page?
The Asset Builder does not allow you to add content to assets during the creation process. Essentially, all it will ask for is an asset name (in the case of a standard page). Once the asset is created, you can then edit it, exactly the same way you would in the Administration Interface.
Our calendar page and another asset page set up by Squiz does allow this so it must be possible.
It is a handy little feature to have, seems silly to have users go through yet another step to add content.
This is proving to be more difficult than I thought.
The pages that will be added through this asset builder page are type 2 links and appear in an asset listing page. Because under construction assets do not appear on the front end it is impossible for editors to add content to this page without going into the backend, this is not an option.
Is it possible to add the type 1/type 2 linking fields to the Complete Layout? Ours has already been customised to include metadata information.
Some assets (like events) have bodycopies visible on their Create interface. Most however, do not.

Under Construction assets will appear in Asset Listings if the user has the appropriate write permission, from Matrix v3.6 and higher. You can also put a link directly to the asset in the Created bodycopy, so that the user can immediately edit the asset required.
I run two computers, one logged on as myself and the other logged on as the root user. I am unable to see the page appear in the asset listing in either. I have checked the permissions and they are what they should be.
If I can add the type1/type 2 linking fields to my page layout it will solve my problem.
The site is about to be put in full control of the distributed authors for three weeks while I'm on leave. This page gets an average of three posts per day, without type two links the side nav is going to be out of control by the time I return.
