One of our offices is located in south New Zealand and I have set up a site for them in Matrix but they find it really slow to access the CMS. The Matrix system is hosted at our office in Australia.
When they browse the site, it is fine but when they access the backend it is really slow i.e. it can take up to 2 mins to load the java applet.
Do you have any suggestions or know of any reasons why this is? They have an ADSL connection, dowload speed of 1 Mbps and upload speed of 128 Kbps.
Is it possible to host a matrix system for them in NZ, but have it so the information in NZ correlates with the info in Australia?
You cant share information between two different systems, but you could link to their content I guess.
I dont think there are too many ways around this. The connection from Aus to NZ shouldn't be that slow. We have this problem betwen Aus and the UK but I wasnt aware NZZ was slow from here.
Maybe other people can help work out why??
Yeah, I've worked on NZ matrix systems from Sydney and there's been no speed problems. Not sure what would be causing these issues.
