Alternatives to Mollom spam prevention?

Matrix Version: 5.4.3.1

It is sad to see that Mollom was removed as it worked very well for us to prevent spam. Now, recently we have been getting large amounts of spam through our various forms and neither reCAPTCHA or Honeypot are stopping it.

Are there any plans to implement something like Mollom that tests the message for spam? Such as Akismet?

As far as I know there aren’t plans to add anything else at this stage, but a discussion here couldn’t hurt to change that.

Out of curiosity are you running reCAPTCHA v1 or v2?

We are on Matrix 5.4.3.1 so I assume it is v2.
