Hi,
Am I right in thinking that you can only add assets to children of the root node you select in the dynamic create locations section?
I'm sure I've missed something here, because surely you can add new assets with the asset builder directly below the root node. But I just don't seem to be able to do that.
cheers

No, you cannot add assets to the root node itself, rather, only to child assets. Currently there is no option to include the root node for dynamic create locations. Although, you could go one level higher to allow adding assets to that node, but not sure if that would really help in your situation.
You could also just use a static root node, which would let you create assets as children of the root node.

The problem I have is that each folder potentially represents a different department in our organisation. I suppose I could make each dept a separate site and have their webpages in a subfolder, which would get round the problem. Or I could have a separate selector to let users optionally add things at the root level.
I'll find a way round it somehow! Thanks anyway.
