hey folks,
I've modelled an asset listing page off a similar WORKING asset listing page however i'm having an increasing amount of difficulty getting the page to list the assets. The asset type needing to be listed are news items (which i've changed in the asset listing details page)
Keywords in the page contents are you %asset_listing% which have worked in other pages. Its pointing to the correct folder where the assets are.
And whilst i've consulted the new 3.6* manual, i'm none the wiser.
Anything i need to be looking out for that is a common thing to overlook?
Do you have any statuses or link types selected that may be filtering things out?
Have you configured to default type format bodycopy to set how each element will be listed?
Not that i can see no. No filtering.
There is only one file in the folder that it is pulling from at present but even then its not displaying it.
What's the bare minimum i need to put in for it to work?

Check the Default Format bodycopy: If there’s nothing in there, it doesn’t know what to display for each asset. 
%asset_listing% is what i have in there, thats about it (apart from Page %page_list% - which works as a keyword).
Its just the three news items in the root node folder that won't display for some reason.
The %asset_listing% keyword should be in the "Page Contents" bodycopy, but you also need to put something in the "Default Format" bodycopy (found in the "Type Formats" folder).
In that bodycopy, you need to use keywords like %asset_name% to print info about each asset being listed.
Well i don't know what did it but it seems to be working now. Cheers Greg
