Asset metadata value listing

Hi Team,

 

I'm having a brain fade and I  was wondering if you guys had created an asset listing based on a specific metadata value.

 

I have a schema associated with various projects and I would like to sort via a metadata value so

%asset_metadata_<fieldname>_value%

I could create  three separate asset listings - based on  a link value  however I was just wondering if the above is possible.

 

We need our Edit+ users to be able to control this - hence  tagging is out.

Hi fuzzi,

This is usually done with a search page and stored search results. Basically you tell the search page to display the results page by default and pass it some dynamic or harcoded search field values.

I thought as much re the search asset but in previous experience I find the matrix search assets to be a bit slow so i have just used link values instead on a generic asset listing.

 

i will do both though and compare the performance.
