Hi, I've searched for this and couldn't find anything.
I want to sort my search results by the 'Title' field of PDF file assets. The details screen of a PDF asset has two fields, 'Title' and 'File Name'. The search results sorting screen under 'Default Sorting' has the options 'Short Name' and 'Name'. I'm wondering which one corresponds to which field?
My understand is:
Short Name = Title
Name = File Name
Hope this makes sense.
Also, another question, I posted this in an existing topic but not sure if it will get looked at but wondering if there is a sorting option to ignore numbers? So the results will be sorted based on the alpha characters only. The below link will give you a much more clearer explanation.

It is neither of those.
What you need to do on the Asset Sorting screen is find the "Sorting by Asset Attribute Value" section. Choose your PDF Asset then give it a display name. Submit the page. You will now see an item for PDF and it will allow you to set the attribute to sort by for the PDF Asset. Change that to Title and hit submit. Finally scroll down to the "Default Sort-by Option" section and choose the newly created PDF sorting option that you just created.
