Assets randomly changing to safe edit

#1

Hi Guys,

We have had reports where there have been a number of assets changed to safe edit by a user but the user reports they didn't.

The logs show that the user has changed the asset to safe edit - but I am wondering if this can be done by accident - or whether the user has accidently cascaded the status - and is picked up the linked assets - nested assets etc.

Has anyone else had this?

Fuzz =)

Sounds like user error to me. Don't really think it could have been done by accident, but I don't think the logs lie.

What was the previous status of the asset before it went to Safe edit? Was it up for review?

I'd check triggers and workflows to do isolation testing.

Thanks guys! for all the information! The assets were previously live. We do have a safe edit trigger but this is just set for standard pages and its for users using _edit not admin.

What I think has happened is that the users have been in admin and may have had the assets highlighted in the asset map. We also have very minimal workflows  throughout our site. There have been a few up for review assets however. Bart do you think there is an issue with assets with this status?

thanks

when having a look at the logs - there is no way that the user could pysically be changing the assets status. The assets are in different locations accross the site and are not nested or linked. The logs are showing the status chnages very close together.
