Build a report based on users entry /_edit or /_admin

(Kbull) #1

Is it possible to build a report on how our users are using our system: eg via /_edit or /_admin

(Nic Hubbard) #2

You mean where they are logging into?

(Robin Shi) #3

You mean the stats of the usage of admin interface and editing interface?

(Kbull) #4

yes, who is using which to access the CMS - User names would be great

What we'll be using it for is to try to push our basic users to use EES+, thus leaving the Admin interface for those who require it.

This in turn will allow us to provide the correct training and documentation for the right people.

Also we'll be able to audit our users - do they really edit or just waisting our time with training and never use the system?
Our current situation is:
298 - existing users

136 - user removed

If you are Squiz client, ask them to export Apache server log which records every accessed URLs.

Or, implement GA in login design, I have not tested though.

Thanks Robin,

I'll ask our guys about the export Apache server log idea
