Using 3.18.8 SSV I was trying and failing terribly at creating a simple edit interface for a bulk mail job. No URL for asset (but at least I had keywords unlike Nic with Bulkmail Job Simple Edit? )
Will be upgrading to 3.24 in the next month or so.
The question is, will it be possible to create a simple edit interface for bulkmail jobs?
Should we use a trigger to run bulkmail jobs?
Or just train the users to use the backend to run bulkmail jobs?
I know Hubbard has a working example for you. I saw some screenshots recently: http://img200.yfrog.com/img200/5697/amz.png and http://img16.yfrog.com/img16/9859/uqw.png

Yes, I built a nice interface to send out bulk emails which allows the user to build the entire email from scratch, and choose from 3 designs. They can also add images, preview their email before sending etc.
It actually took almost a week to build, using extensive javascript and triggers. Not sure I want to explain the whole procedure here, since it is long and complicated, but feel free to ask questions if you are interested.

Well done and complete respect for your dedication to new implementation concepts. B)

Very nice Nic, first time I've seen those screenshots. Did you use the js API you wrote, or was it more manual js? (Sorry to hijack your thread)
Bulkmail simple edit, among some other complex simple edit interfaces, has come up a fair bit in the last 6 months or so in my discussions with clients. I'm looking forward to someone asking for something similar, looks like fun

Didn't use the API this time, just wrote all new JS for this one. We should be putting it into actual use in a week or two by all Departments on campus.

Let me first upgrade to 3.24.0 and then I will comeback with the questions, I have a few.
