Calendar Events Search Page grouping by metadata field not working

I am using a Calendar Events Search Page, and wanting to group by a metadata field. Inside the Default for that field I am using the %event_start_datetime_F% keyword.

 

Everything is configured correctly, but it just won't group by that metadata field with keyword. I have tested this with a regular Search Page and it works how I want, but not with a Calendar Events Search Page.

What version of Matrix Nic? We'll see if we can replicate this as a bug.

Ive been able to replicate in all builds, seems that the metadata name just cant be referenced.

 

Printing group_name is always blank.
