Calendar issues

Anyone had this problem before?

I have implemented the calendar asset from Matrix and am experiencing problems by displaying single and recurring events on same day. To diferentiate between the two I have two folders (namely event and recurring) where the calendar is looking up registered event sources.

For some reason it will not display recurring events on the same day as single events. The recurring event is getting displayed whilst the single event is pushed one day ahead…

If I look at the monthly view it will display the correct events at the correct day slot.

Anyone with similar problems?

All comments welcome!

Are you sure its not just printing them side-by-side? You need to add:
<mysource_area id_name="head" design_area="head" />
Inside the <head> and </head> tags of your design. This allows the Calendar to add the appropriate CSS file so that it can better format the calendar views.

I am sure it doesn't print it side-by-side. Have checked source code etc but it is not there. It is basicaly printing/showing the information on the next date… Find it a bit weird.

Have had a look through the manual but couldn't find too many relevant solutions there. Do anyone know of any good resources regarding the calendar asset?

Which version of Matrix are you running? Can you post a screenshot somewhere for us to look at? Do you have the design area in place to add the CSS properly?

We are currently running v3.6.4, but will be on your most recent (v10) in close future.

Here are some images from what I see when using the calender:

Month view:

This one works fine and show the different events on the correct day

Week view:

Shows only some of the events. Sunday especially is wrong.

Day view

Shows only one of the recurring events and none of the single events.

Thanks in advance Avi!

The Calendar has been significantly improved since v3.6.4. I would try and get your system upgraded as soon as possible (remember to upgrade all the modules at the same time!) and test this again.

Thanks for that Avi,

We are about to go onto a dedicated server but have to wait for the Dell server to be in Squiz's hands before we can go live with it. Hopefully this will be turned around quite quickly since we are starting to get a big client-base that we are moving onto Matrix.

Cheers,

Karl
