Calendar search to group by event date?

Hi Matrixers,

I have a calendar search page, which has stored searches to bring back a list of events that are all in the future and that all have a metadata field filled in. Lovely.

But I’d like to group them by the event start date, so you see a date heading and then all the events that are on that day underneath. (This means it will match the formatting of my upcoming event lists).

I’ve read this thread: Calendar Search Page - Group By not working for Keywords?
and I’ve triple-checked my keyword on the Asset Grouping screen. I’ve tried instance_start_datetime and event_start_date but I’m not getting anything. No group format output at all.

What else might I have missed?!

Hey Charlotte,

Have you changed the List Format to Custom Grouping on the Details Page of the Calendar Events Search Page?

Ahhh… that’ll do it.

This isn’t the first time I’ve totally forgotten about that and had someone remind me. It’s ok, I’ve got out my “I am a doofus” badge and will be wearing it all day.
