It's a good lesson to all of us, I have ever had worse cases than this one.
Once I changed the design area's name, then screwed up the customisation.
The other time I used Dreamweaver to apply source formatting for the parse file, then pasted it back, screwed up again.
The worse one was that I pasted the edited parse file back to the wrong design, which resulted in DB restoration.
Sometimes the parse file freaks me out, my suggestion is to touch it only in the morning when i'm awake enough.
Cannot clear cache on design parse file
Does anyhone know how I move this topic to designs to help others in the future…???

There are a bunch of design "traps for young players" I have seen and experienced over the years. Design areas and customisations have featured heavily. Not sure if it happens in current versions but in older versions there used to be a double whammy if you added a new design area that bumped the chronological order of areas. When you re-parsed it would wipe out all your customisations. I have also seen bugs in some versions where customising a lower level customisation would flow up the tree of customisations, 3.16.something was a big offender.
The hall of fame, winner of all, bend over and kiss your site good by is uploading an image in the parse file upload box when you are adding attachments to your design. Followed very closely by those who think it will be safe to safe edit a design asset.

I've moved it. Thanks for posting the resolution.
