Creating custom wysiwyg plugin

I would like to inquire if there are is any suggested procedures to adding custom plugins (therefore buttons) to the wysiwyg editor. I have made various modifications to the existing plugins with success… however would like to add my own instead of modifying the current plugins.


Looking at how the plugins are substantiated I see that both

may need to be edited… any advise before I start doing this in our dev environment?

Just make sure your class names don't conflict with existing ones, and remember to select your plugins in the Global Prefs so that they are found in the array of active plugins.

Yes have done, works great. I’m now backing out all the changes I have made to the standard/matrix_ plugins and inserting griffith_ plugings for each change needed.

Yeah, I quite like Mark's new Insert Image popup. :slight_smile: I've been drooling over Griffith's Simple Edit interface for the last two days.

Can you please take a couple of screen shots of some of the Simple Edit Interfaces and put them on Flicker and link to then from this forum thread please…
