Is there a way to update an existing XML asset file with the contents of a new XML file in Edit+? It can be done through the administration interface but there seems to be no way to do it in the Edit+ interface. Also is it possible to create an XML asset in the Edit+ interface?
I’m pretty sure you can just navigate to the Details screen of the XML file in Edit+ and choose the upload/browse button to upload a new file ontop of the existing one. Don’t you have that option?
That’s the problem. There is no upload / browse button.
Ah that’s right, because it uses the generic default details screen because there is no specific editing screen for XML assets in Edit+ yet as they can only be uploaded using the Generic File asset type.
If you upload it using that asset type you should be able to edit it via Edit+.
We haven’t added support in Edit+ yet for the XML file type asset.
