Custom form REST resource - file uploads to SF

Hey everyone, can I include file uploads via a call REST resource mapped to Salesforce or do I need to use a trigger or custom script?

There is the option to have two submission actions to run, one sending the data to SF and the other sending the attachment?

Would this be bad practice?
