Custom Form Submission Log - Send to Email as a CSV File

(Aneta Puha) #1

My custom form started accepting submissions on 30 October 2013 and I can export the submissions (from the Submission Logs screen) in a CSV file without an issue.

I need to automate this process to send report updates to non Matrix users, so I created a Send Submissions To Email trigger in the Submission Logs screen. However, when the email arrives the attachment has no file extension and fails to open.  Does anyone know what I can do to fox this?

Here are the details for the submission to email:

When: Next run 11:30 on 20 Nov, 2013. Repeating every 15 minutesSend Logs Since: The given "Start" date
Start Date: Wednesday, October 30th, 2013
Log Format: Comma seperated values (CSV)
CSV Delimiter: ,

Email Format: Text Email Version

Hi,

The issue you are referring to seems to have been fixed with bug #6513 Send Submissions Cron Job attachment has no extension in Matrix.

If you are Squiz client then please contact the regional office to see if the upgrade or patch can fix it for you.

Awesome, thanks for the help, its good to know it wasn't something I broke or something I forgot to do.

Are they ways to rearrange the layout in the the submission logs that are sent?

I'd like to customise the log for the various people needing to view the data. At present I am doing this manually and before forwarding the submission log.

Negative. Unfortunately there isn't a way to customise the layout.
