Are there any tricks that might see a successful clone or does Matrix requires admins/editors to manually clone components / parts of a form?

For the most part, you can just clone a custom form, or “Sections” of a custom form into another form.
There are some issues with question IDs if you are manually creating HTML for the form, thank you & emails. This means you need to go and check all the question IDs to make sure they match the IDs of the cloned questions.
The same probably goes for question conditions.
(Cloning forms is something I have to do on a regular basis for recurring forms where clients are super fussy about the order of columns in submission log CSV download)
