Just wondering if it is possible to customise the fuzzy logic on the calendar events search page drop down selections so I can add extra search parameters (e.g. 'next 3 months', 'next 6 months') to the already present default set of options?

Not from the interface, but I guess you could select Date Range and put a JS plugin on top of it that sets a hidden date range field based on what the "next 3 months" actually is?
I was looking for a more native 'Squiz' based solution instead of using JS (especially if they are 3rd party). If I really need the option, I will explore the JS plugin further.

Not really sure what that means, but if you are really after a native Matrix feature for this, I suggest you put up an idea in squizmap so that it can be discussed further with the developers and other squiz members/clients to see if it's something popular and worth developing.
