Hi,
How exactly do you use the date ranges in a what's new asset? I've set it to be oldest date 1 month in the past, newest = 1 min in the past using the date ranges menu, but it doesnt appear to be used. To get any assets to show, I have to go back to setting the fixed what's new oldest /newest date, available via the settings menu. That however is a fixed date, ie not show me all assets 1 month old…from now), so not really what I'm after.
So, how do I use the custom date rages, instead of the fixed dates for a what's new page asset.
Thanks
Dale
(man some of this stuff is hard to describe)
There is a keyword for the page contents bodycopy that prints a drop-down box that allows the user to select one of the custom date ranges. I can't recall the exact keyword off the top of my head (and I'm not at my main PC at the moment), but it should be in the keyword drop-down box in the WYSIWYG editor.
so there's no automatic way to have a what's new page that always shows pages that are less than one month old? having to manually update it periodically seems a little like I've missed something somewhere.
Cheers
Dale
You can toggle it using the change link next to
Select Date Period [ change ]
on the date ranges screen.
I'm ok with setting the cusomtization, I just don't see how to apply it automagically. ie I want a What's new page that ONLY shows things for the last month, using the date range I enter on the date ranges page. I can enter the date fine, but unless I have a manual date via the details page, it's a no show.

Oops, my previous post was a bit misleading… You can set 1 month previous on the Details screen of the what's new asset; you need to toggle the date display to use Date Periods instead of single periods. In the screenshot I've just hit the 'change' link, which toggles what to display for the date selector. Unless I'm completely missing the question, which is quite possible hehe.

Ahh, I hadn't spotted that both the detail and date range screens had that change button. I thought you were referring to the one on date range. That clears it up for me, many thanks for your help.
