On our FAQs page we are currently using jQuery to hide and show answers based on users selection but since we are now using v4.8.2 we have the option of using the ‘decision tree asset’ and this is what I’m struggling with.
Every time I input a ‘next question’ and ‘result bodycopy’ in the ‘answer destination’ section and click submit, none of these options are saved.
As well, the ‘points value’ component doesn’t seem to work for me either. I don’t understand the tallying of ‘points value’ in this module. I understand that you need a certain number of points allocated to each question so the user can see the final results they’re after but to test this feature, seems difficult to do.

If anyone has successfully implemented the decision tree asset and would like to share their tips here, that would be great!

Did you have any success with the decision tree asset?
I'm attempting to set one up, and am having the same problems as you report. Often when saving the details in the answer destinations section the information doesn't get saved. Sometimes, the info is saved must mostly not.
It looks like a powerful asset type - but rather tricky to configure.

I had this problem and it was because I had illegal characters (spaces) in the "Key" for the questions - Matrix would save the questions but then not allow further editing, and wouldn't provide feedback as to why. Try removing/replacing spaces in the question keys.
Georgina, we have abandoned the FAQs page due to page currency issues with content.
