Delete asset not working - JSON.parse unexpected character

We are trying to delete an asset, but a JSON.parse unexpected character is occurring. 

The same error was thrown when we tried to move it out of the parent asset.

 

Is there a fix for this issue?

 

We're using v4.18.3

I assume this is using the Modern Asset Map?

 

Are you able to restart your browser and see if the error still occurs? What are the JS error in the console?

Also, have you tried it in other browsers and logged in as other users?

Hi,

 

The issue is not browser related as the same error occured on multiple browsers. Furthermore, not all assets are giving this error.

Are the assets its happening to consistent? If so, what asset types? WHat happens if you select the asset and then hit your delete key on the keyboard? 

Also, what happens if you try and move the asset or trash it using the linking screen? Any errors?

The same error is appearing whenever we try to move the asset or else by pressing delete from the keyboard. The error start appearing on both standard pages and also notices (not all of them) after we have migrated to V4.18.3.

What are "notices"? And does it only happen to standard pages? What about folders or image assets?
