Deprecation of Rollback..?

I noticed this on the deprecations page of the manuals, and clicking through to https://matrix.squiz.net/manuals/tools/chapters/rollback-management-tool:

This feature has been deprecated as of version 5.5.0.0...

Is there more information on what Rollback is being replaced with? My read of the deprecations page is that it’s deprecated from 5.5 and replaced/gone from 6.0.0 ?
