Different designs for assets in asset listing

I would like to have an Asset Listing page where the first asset is returned with more information than subsequent assets, and with different CSS. Is this possible?

Ant.

The only customisation that is currently possible with the asset listing is on a per asset type basis, i.e. you can customise the format for each type of asset you're listing. If the first asset is of a different type to the rest, then you could probably do this.

Could you perhaps explain what you're trying to achieve (ie what you're trying to list, how and why) and perhaps we can work out a solution?

Just a note that this functionality is currently awaiting development by a client of ours and so will be available in future releases - but only as a beta version at first.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I was hoping to emulate something like the lead story on a news site e.g. http://news.bbc.co.uk whereby the first asset has a bigger font, and bigger image.

Hmmm… interesting. At the moment, you'd probably have to do it with two asset listings nested in a single page. What ordering are you using for the assets themselves? Creation order/date? Or will the first item be randomly selected?
