Dynamic metadata select field options

Hi

Wondering if it’s possible to dynamically populate the select field options in a metadata value.
Example: I want to be able to choose from a list of values, but those values are dynamically derived from an asset listing based on the assets in a folder.

Is something like this possible?

I don’t think this is possible.

Usually when I want something like this I use a Metadata Text Field and an Edit+ plugin to provide the dropdown UI, which gets populated by an asset listing somewhere. (maybe you could use a Simple Edit Layout instead of an Edit+ plugin).

Alternatively, you could make the field a Metadata Related Asset Field and restrict it to only allow assets in the folder that you were planning on using in the Asset Listing.
