Matrix Version:5.4.3

Is there a way we can have the last created asset automatically display at the top/first in the asset finder without having to manually use the asset sorting tool?

By default the last created asset is always the last item and our users find it “challenging” to use the search.

Not in that version, but we are adding a Sort Asset Children trigger action in the next release (5.4.5.0) that will enable you to do just this.
