Form submits with no validation on Mac

Morning,

I have had a junior ux researcher encounter an issue on our forms when carrying out some accessibility testing. When using a Mac, they tab through the fields but when they press ‘return’ to make a selection on a radio button or drop-down the form submits. No validation errors prevent the form from submitting and this doesnt happen on mobile, Edge or Chrome.

Has anyone encountered this issue before and have a fix that I can use please?

I assume you are meaning using Safari on macOS?

No, from the recording its on Chrome on the Mac.

Have you also tested it on Windows? Does it follow the same steps for the validation check?

Long time Mac user here, i never liked Mac OS handling of forms, I don’t think this is a Matrix problem, if you’d like to PM a link i can offer a second opinion?

Hi, yes all tested on Windows and worked fine. First I knew of the issue with Mac was when the Junior UX was testing accessibility on forms.
