FunnelBack presenting links to archived pages

We're running 4.2.2 and noticing a number of search results on the front end are links to pages that have been archived.

How can I stop this, is it something to do with the Funnelback user permissions?

Cheers, Paul.

Hi Paul,

Are you using Funnelback OEM?

The assets indexed depends on the permission the user ,that is defined on the Funnelback Manager screen, has. Looks like the user used there (root?) has admin permissions on the whole system.

You might want to change to user that has read permissions.

Hope this helps,

Ash

Hi Ash,

Fast reply…appreciated.

Yup it's OEM and the user created by the person who set it up is a backend user called 'funnelback user' with admin access granted so have set this to read access now…

Cheers, will check again tomorrow or should I do something to force a reindex (impact on system?)

Best, P.

Running an re-indexer or not right away would be you call as I am not sure if you would be alright with the archived pages showing up in search results. Not that the user without permissions to these assets will be able to click on them and have a view.
