Hi, We are currently thinking about changing our analytics tool from AWSTATS to a more powerful tool. We were thinking about using Google Analytics first as it is easy to integrate with MATRIX, however since our site is an Intranet site we are worried about the security concerns that arise while using google Analytics. Can someone shed some light about this and let us know the security issues that might come up. Thanks

As long as you are not tracking anyones username or identifiable information in Google Analytics, it’s totally fine to track it. Lots of Intranets use GA for their stats because all it stores by default is the URL of pages which is often not a concern for the organisation to store offsite.
