After having a bit of a holiday in October I came back to find that in my installation of Google Chrome, the Asset Map no longer seemed to load.
It loads ok in Firefox, IE and Safari, but for some reason it just doesn't want to play nicely in Chrome anymore.
Anyone have any tips or ideas that I could pursue to get it working again?
Do you have any errors you can post? Possibly support for the JRE (post the version you are using of that too) isn't very good in chrome - it's still quite new and I'm sure alot of the plugin integration is a work-in-progress.
I'm running Google Chrome 4.0.237.0 and I'm on the Dev Channel. The Java Console show JRE version 1.6.0_11. No errors appear in the Java console, and while I have both the Asset Map and My Space tabs, the Asset Map pane fails to load. Checking the control panel, Java build 1.6.0_11-b03 is shown there.
AFAIK, I'm not getting any errors per se. Just nothing loading.
I am running JRE 1.6.0_16-b01 on Chrome 3.0.195.33 on XP, the asset map is slow but functions
Sun recommends at least 1.6.0-12 for chrome according to java.com
Thanks Nick!
Chrome this morning prompted me to get the Java plug-in which led me to the download page for version 6 update 16 which I have downloading and which will hopefully not break anything else.
I've never been able to get the asset map working with Chrome, despite getting myself as up-to-date as possible.
Getting a later version of the JRE has restored the Asset Map within Chrome. I'm still not sure why it went away, but since I'm on the Dev channel it's possible a Chrome update came through that broke things.
