How complete is the Squiz Matrix VM?

Hey Guys,


I have downloaded the new Squiz Matrix 4.0 VM and have it working on my local network. It seems good!



However, I know that back in the MSM days (I'm talking like it was years ago) there were several tweaks and things to be installed before Matrix would really run properly.



Do I need to change anything on the VM to get Matrix to run well, and everything to work? I'm running a very small site.

The Matrix VM is based on our production installs and should have everything you need on there for most functionality. Some optional requirements for things like PayPal integration, memcache support and markdown syntax may still need to be installed or configured as these are not standard OS packages.

Sounds good Greg! I should be able to get around those with such a small site.


I definitely like this new approach vs the old.

Everything should be installed (if not please let me know what's missing) but not enabled. eg tidy is installed but not enabled, same for clamav, antiword etc.
