I have rollback enabled, and I know how to view previous versions of my content. But how can I make that version live? If I make a mistake in my live version, how can I go to rollback view, and make one of my rollback pages live instead of the current page? This is what the function is for, correct?

Rollback is to enable you to view pages as they were in any time in the past. There is no automatic method of promoting a rollback entry to live. The simplest way to accomplish this is to cut’n’paste the content from the rollback view into the current view.
So, if there is no automatic way, is there a manual way? This would be very helpful, there are many changes that I would love to go back to, but I need to see the code not just the content after it is rendered. Any way to view a rollback parse file or WYSIWIG code?

I suspect the easiest way is just to preview a page when you’re in rollback mode and then view the source of the preview.
You can certain submit a feature request or perhaps consider funding changes to the rollback system to allow viewing the source code of the content.
In rollback view, if you view the parsefile of the design, you will see the design as at the date and time you’re rolled back to.
Parse file yes, but not the code of a WYSIWIG design area. That is what I was really hoping for.

You can preview the page, and then view the source of the preview? That’s about the easiest way to do it now.
Is there a way to access rollback view via the history simple edit layout?
Whenever a 'View' button is clicked I get the following error:
[codebox]MySource Error
File: [SYSTEM_ROOT]/core/include/backend_outputter.inc Line: 454
Message: Static Screen Code "Details" already in use [SYS0207]
Backtrace: Show [/codebox]
I then bring the URL back to .../_edit - the error remains but inside the editing mode frame. I then click 'Exit Editing Mode' and I am in rollback view.
But I can't then reappend /_edit to the URL to copy the source code of the page. The error just reappears.
Am I doing something wrong or is rollback view just not usable in simple edit?
Thanks,
Sarah
