How to clone a design

Matrix Version:
I am redesigning the homepage of one of our intranet sites and would like to clone the current design so that I can make customisations to it that are separate to the current live design. Can anyone tell me the ‘easiest’ way to do this? Thanks in advance

I used the import/export function. So export the design, then import it again with a different name. It was quick but it doesn’t bring over customisations which is a shame.

You can simply copy your design parse file(content) and paste it into new instance as a new design asset. I prefer this instead of exporting/importing as it has same effect but you cannot fully rely on export tools.

I am trying to bring my customisations down to one(default) and control the whole design from metadatas.
