How to get default context metadata value when alternate context is blank

Hi,

 

I can't figure out how to fetch the content from the default context when the alternate context field is empty. I am trying to do this within a paint layout. Is there a standard way of doing it?

 

eg

in Welsh context, if the Welsh metadata field is blank, fall back to displaying the English

Actually, I figured out a solution. There is no need to check the context from within a Paint Layout since they are contextable anyway.
