How to get the parent asset

how can i get the parent asset if i have this kind of structure:
im using asset listing and my root node = products


  • products (folder) <— root nodes

    [indent]- test1 (folder) <-- how can i get this?

    [indent]- N100 (standard page)[/indent]

    [/indent][indent] - test2 (folder)[/indent]

Assuming you are on page N100:


You need to nest the asset listing into the page, either directly or through a design or paint layout.

Set the root node to the Products folder.

Create a dynamic root node and use the current asset's ID as the value (towards the bottom of the Details screen).

Set the asset listing to look up the tree.

Set the asset types to include at least Folder.



The asset listing will then look up the tree from any page in which it is nested, finding all parents of the type and status you selected in the listing. If you want to limit it to a single parent only, set the number of assets to display per page from 0 to 1.
