Hi,
I’m a bit vague on the installation of content templates. I’m using the ‘Import Assets from XML Tool’ but am unsure of which location to install to? I can successfully import it to any ol’ location but I’m not seeing the option to choose templates from the ‘Edit contents’ screen of a page. Is there a preferred location where matrix can see these templates? Thanks guys

Hi John,
I’m also doing the same thing right now. Installing the three templates offered from the Squiz site. I’d say you should put them in some type of ‘global configurations’ folder if you intend to use them across multiple sites. If it’s just a particular site, install them into that site’s corresponding design configurations folder - or something like that.
As for why the template does not appear to choose templates. Make sure that you set the “root node” on the “Details” screen of the Content Template asset to encompass the page/asset you are trying to apply the template to in Edit+ (I normally just apply it to site asset).
Then in Edit+ you should be able to select it from the bottom of the modal/popup that appears when you select the “Edit Container Properties” icon.
