Hi all,
We've just recovered from a situation where a fairly trusted, experienced editor moved the Matrix Site for our production university website into Trash - in error, obviously. There wasn't too much lasting impact, but we'd like to avoid it happening again if at all possible. Is it possible to stop users of a specified user group from dragging a 'root' Site into Trash?
Thanks for any advice.

Further to Dan's post, I guess what we are looking for is a way to "lock" a site, in the same way for example that you can lock a child page to a site?
Hi guys,
You can lock your site by going to the linking screen of the site asset.
You should have an assetid 1 with a locked checkbox which can be toggled. More details here - http://manuals.matrix.squizsuite.net/asset-screens/chapters/linking/

Thanks for your help Kurne, we are now locked down.
We actually thought these were locked because they had the red cross in the locked column, when in fact the red cross means - “this isn’t locked”.
We also had this problem, just locked all our domains!

I remember that. That was a fun fun day.
Hiya
Just fell victim the same kinda of issue, so started locking things down eg (user group LOL):
Site assets
User groups and main users group sections
but how far is too far - because we have a lot of users in our system should we be overprotective and lock down all ROOT folders eg:
designs folder
media folder
web services folder
design backups
schemas
layouts
thesauri
Who am I kidding - I need them locked down from ME and my clean-ups
