Matrix and EES Upgrade

We currently have matrix on 4.8 and EES on build 1645.

 

We are now upgrading Matrix through to latest current version and along the way, at 4.10.3, we will lose compatibility with build 1645 of EES.

 

Now, EES is no good for us, because we're unable to edit multiple page assets using it.

 

I can understand that EES build 1645 might not function if we're using it with later versions of Matrix. No problem, we don't use it.

 

My question is whether later versions of matrix rely on the latest version of EES (currently 1.4.2 with Matrix 4.12+) to work, or we can safely leave EES behind?

 

If that's not the case - any advice on how easy it is to upgrade to 1.4.2 or how to remove EES altogether?

To remove the EES you can just remove markup from your Design Asset, should be at the top of that Parse File.
