Matrix demo can not find admin page

Good day,
I am new to VM so I have no clue how these work.

I have installed the squiz matrix demo but when I finish doing so, and enter the url, the browsers cannot find the site. I have uninstalled and installed twice taking care to follow instructions to no avail.



Any help much appreciated.



btw Iam running win 7

So what happens when you visit the URL? Do you see errors? And you have tried to add /_admin to the end? What do you see when you do that?

Suggestions:

Go to squiz.­net

Try reloading: matrixdemo.­squiz.­net/­_admin

Search on Google:



p/s on install I don't see this bit {The first time you do this, VMWare will ask if you have copied the image or moved it. Select "I copied it" and press OK}

And you made the additions to your hosts file?

Yes I did, but curiously though the ifconfig eth0 ip address (192.168.1.101) is different from my machine's ip address (192.168.1.41). I get the same error on either address.

Solved it, it was my antivirus setting. Set to untrusted network on connection type. Thx
