Minimum permissions for an edit+ user

Hi All,

 

We are just setting up our groups and permissions for normal edit plus users and were wondering what the minimum permissions are for folders such as Designs, Media and Web services.

They will just need read permissions to them if those assets are live. If they are not in a live status, such as under construction, your users will need write permissions in order to see them. Hope that helps.

Many thanks for the swift reply Bart -I shall try out your recommendations.  I must confess I have looked at those manual pages but couldn't quite make the connections to the system folders.

That all seems to work really well with one exception.  Even though simple edit users can't change content in sites where they don't have permissions they do seem to be able to edit and save thumbnails for that content?

 

Any thoughts?

Hold that - I think we may have now reduced the permissions a bit further and this is not the case..
