Mysource Matrix manual upgrades

(Neil Newman) #1

Where can I find the necessary instructions that cover the Mysource Matrix product upgrades.
We have a test system, built from a VMWARE image which we want to upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.2.3.

I can see plenty of information regarding older versions of the software, but nothing appears to ship with the 4.x.x software that covers the upgrade procedure.

Upgrades are now done using the Automatic Updates scripts: http://manuals.matrix.squizsuite.net/server-administrator/chapters/automatic-updates/

What about people who are part of a large orginisation which will not approve a $5000 expenditure for a simple software upgrade?

If your company earns over 500k US dollars a year, you have to pay for a subscription. It's detailed here: http://matrix.squizsuite.net/subscriptions/

Squiz gives away it's software for all personal uses and for small businesses, but larger organisations need to contribute these subscription fees to allow the product development to continue and to help support the community. If you're not willing to be part of this model, you'll probably have to find a different product and support model to use because you wont be able to upgrade the product manually.
