New Matrix versions using odd numbers

Just found it curious that I have only ever seen even numbered version numbers for Matrix, e.g. 4.14.2, but the newest releases are odd numbered, 4.14.3.

Just curious what changed as I have never seen this in the past 6 years. Always thought odd numbered were dev versions.

…?

As far as I can recall, Matrix has always used both even and odd digits in the minor version number. There was a 3.20.3, a 3.22.3, a 3.24.3, a 3.26.3 and a 3.28.3, for instance.

It’s the major version number where an odd number signifies a dev version - e.g. 3.21, 3.23, 3.25 or 4.15.

Ha, you are totally right. It is the major versions I was thinking about. It is an early morning...
