Noob can't add assets on evaluation version

Hi there
 
I'm trying to teach myself Squiz from scratch. I've downloaded the evaluation version and followed the tutorial to set it up on VMware Player. 
 
So now I can access the evaluation Squiz Matrix CMS on http://matrixdemo.squiz.net/_admin but it won't let me add any assets. E.g. When I click the Add button in the admin panel on the left and select Website from the dropdown list it doesn't do anything at all!
 
Please can anyone offer any advice for a n00b or point me towards a good tutorial for using the evaluation version of Squiz.

What about if you try right-clicking in the asset map area? Wondering if this is a java issue...did you see any errors?

 

Also, you might give it a try in Firefox to see if it works there.

Once you choose an asset to create you still need to select a location for it to be created. Have a look at the manuals page on creating assets which covers both what you are trying to do and Nic's approach - http://manuals.matrix.squizsuite.net/concepts/chapters/adding-an-asset

Hallelujah! Said I was I was new at this. I didn't think of rightclicking after. Useful link as well.
